One critical pillar on which these software solutions rest is the close integration with Oil & Gas industry technology standards such as our own PetroSol Forecourt Controller using the IFSF Protocols suite or the DOMS PSS Forecourt Controller. This strategy enables our solutions to address and integrate a vast hardware equipment range such as Fuel Dispensers, Tank Gauging Systems, Price Poles, Coffee Machines, Payment Terminals and others, from all major suppliers, allowing our Customers maximum freedom in choosing their forecourt equipment, payment solutions and business model. Petrol Solutions is one of the pioneers in adopting IFSF over TCPIP standard in the PetroSol Forecourt Controller solution. We have developed Unique Industry Tools for monitoring and remote diagnosis of integrated forecourt and mobile devices (e.g. fuel dispensers, ATG’s, coffee machines, price totems) which can be used to easily test their configuration and status in order to increase the business uptime and optimise the maintenance response times and costs.
By having the newest IT&C technologies as platform & software development backbones, together with an extensive Oil & Gas best-practices know-how, enables us in supporting both our Customers and their service organizations or partners. Among these new IT&C technologies, it can be mentioned the latest Microsoft .NET, Windows Presentation Foundation, C++/C/C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure Cloud, but also open source solutions such as MariaDB and Linux for our IoT - Internet of Things solutions.
Operating in highly sensitive security environments have shaped the software development strategy, actively treating security topics with top priority. Advanced encryption, Blockchain, Machine Learning and other advanced technologies are being implemented in our products, enabling mitigation of both security, traceability and data integrity aspects.
For the domestic market we have established a strategic partnership with the exclusive importer of Datecs Ltd (world leader for fiscal equipment) – Danubius Exim Romania – which enabled us to be the first on the market offering a retail fuel POS authorized under the new Romanian fiscal regulations. Locally, the PetroSol solutions are empowering our Customers’ businesses in more than 1,000 sites, and growing daily (400+ Retail Fuel Stations, 150+ In-House/CRT Stations, 15 Unattended Fiscal Stations, 200+ Fleet Cards acceptance points, all the CNG filling stations in the market, etc.).
Enabled by the flexibility of our solutions, we are currently in the process of expanding our international presence. As a first step, we have obtained all certifications needed from the Republic of Moldova authorities and we are successfully running a pilot station for one of the Moldavian market leaders.
