Cooperative opens Puma Energy's largest station in Argentina

An agricultural cooperative in the province of Córdoba has inaugurated what Puma Energy describes as the largest station in its Argentine commercial network, on Route 36 between Córdoba city and Río Cuarto.
The Cooperativa Agrícola Ganadera de Elena developed the project over three years, beginning with the purchase of four hectares along the highway. The complex required more than 6,000 square metres of polished concrete and 3,800 square metres of cobblestone paving, with underground storage tanks and infrastructure designed to handle high traffic volumes.
Beyond fuel (petrol, diesel and CNG) the station offers a range of services targeting long-distance drivers and freight operators. A two-storey, 1,000-square-metre building houses a SUPER 7 convenience store, a Dean & Dennys restaurant and a coworking area. A dedicated 400-square-metre facility for logistics drivers includes changing rooms, showers and rest areas.
Route 36 is one of the most heavily trafficked corridors in the interior of Córdoba province, serving as a key artery for agricultural, industrial and passenger transport across the southern region.
The Elena cooperative, which serves a town of around 1,500 inhabitants, sees the station as a way to diversify beyond grain storage and trading, reinvesting in local infrastructure rather than directing drivers towards Río Cuarto or Córdoba for services.
