EG America introduces mobile device trade-in kiosks

New initiative enables guests to recycle used devices for instant cash while supporting e-waste reduction.

EG America has launched a new initiative to offer mobile device trade-in kiosks at its convenience stores across the United States.

This provides guests with a fast, secure, and eco-friendly way to recycle their old smartphones and other smart devices. The kiosks, developed by ecoATM, have been installed in select locations, allowing users to turn in devices in any condition.

Each machine automatically inspects, grades, and offers a price for the device. If accepted, customers receive instant payment, and the device is either refurbished or responsibly recycled.

“This partnership allows our guests to easily and sustainably turn in their old and used devices and be compensated instantly. We’re committed to finding new and innovative ways to differentiate our stores while also providing value and convenience to our guests,” said Nick Unkovic, Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer at EG America.

The company operates a wide network of retail banners including Cumberland Farms, Kwik Shop, Tom Thumb, Loaf N’ Jug, and Turkey Hill. The first kiosks were deployed in early 2025 across four banners in nine states, with plans to expand the rollout to over 500 locations nationwide.

With this move, EG America adds a new layer of sustainability and digital convenience to its retail experience, aligning with growing consumer interest in responsible tech disposal and instant rewards.
