EG Group completes sale of Italian business

Consortium of Italian operators acquires EG Italia in €425 million deal after regulatory approval.

EG Group completed the sale of its Italian business, EG Italia, to a consortium of established operators including PAD Multienergy, Vega Carburanti, Toil, Dilella Invest, and GIAP. The transaction, approved by the Italian Competition Authority, values the business at €425 million.

The sale marks EG Group’s exit from Italy as part of its strategy to focus on core markets and strengthen its financial position. Proceeds from the deal will be used to reduce debt, supporting the company’s long-term objectives.

“I would like to thank the team at EG Italia for their outstanding contribution to our business. EG Italia’s new ownership is well-placed to lead the business into its next chapter, and I wish them every success,” said Russ Colaco, Chief Executive Officer of EG Group.

The acquisition by the consortium underscores confidence in Italy’s fuel and convenience retail sector, positioning EG Italia for continued growth under local leadership.
