EVgo and Brixmor Property Group are expanding their long-standing partnership to deploy more than 500 additional fast-charging stalls at shopping centers across the United States, strengthening access to public charging in everyday retail destinations.

Once the rollout is completed, at least 90 Brixmor shopping centers, representing more than a quarter of the company's portfolio, will feature EVgo fast chargers. The expansion builds on a relationship that began in 2016, when EVgo installed its first charger at a Brixmor property in Pleasanton, California.

“Drivers across the U.S. want infrastructure options that integrate seamlessly into their routines, and shopping centers are an ideal place to get groceries, grab a bite or shop while charging,” said Scott Levitan, Executive Vice President of Growth at EVgo.

New charging locations are planned in several states, including Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas. Deployment is scheduled to begin later this year, with the first site under the expanded agreement expected to open at Barn Plaza, located in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

The new installations will feature up to 12 high-power EVgo charging points per location, creating additional charging opportunities at grocery-anchored shopping centers and other high-traffic retail destinations.
