ExtraMile launches exterior renovation initiative
The retailer is set to upgrade up to 250 locations this year with an updated signage and a modern exterior look.
ExtraMile Convenience Stores (EMCS) has launched an initiative to update the exterior look and signage of its convenience store network across the United States.
The retailer, a joint venture between Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and Jacksons Food Stores, started this project back in January and expects to complete 250 site renovations this year. The brand is present at almost 1,100 sites and the full program will see its entire footprint completely renovated.
“This image refresh program is an investment in our franchisees and our consumers—doubling down on our commitment to convenient, modern, clean, inviting and shoppable stores,” said Brian Sardelich, EMCS president, as reported by NACS.
The updated look includes a new logo and signage, contrasted by entrances with dark gray paint. Off-white exteriors also sport a darker trim and wood access, alongside a new look for ExtraMan, the ExtraMile mascot, who now sports a new cape and cowl.
“We are very excited to continue our legacy in the c-store space with more current designs, modern looks, vibrant colors and taking our brand to the next level,” added Sardelich.
ExtraMile’s plan has already opened the first updated locations in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, Utah and Georgia.
