ExxonMobil, Citi make applying for credit card easy thru an app
ExxonMobil and Citi Retail Services have added a new feature to ExxonMobil Speedpass+TM mobile payment app which allows customers to apply for a credit card using a mobile application.
Called "Apply and Buy" feature, it makes it easier to apply for the ExxonMobil Smart Card credit card. The card once approved will be added automatically as a payment option helping customer save on fuel purchases.
Cardholders can save up to 20 cents on every gallon of fuel purchased at all Exxon and Mobil locations in the U.S.
It also has security features provided by global information solutions company Equifax.
"Citi's Apply and Buy technology is a groundbreaking digital advancement for the fuel industry and will deliver convenient payment options and ongoing savings to drivers nationwide," said Craig Vallorano, Head of Citi Retail Services.
