ČEZ built almost 100 new charging sites across the Czech Republic this year
The company has a total of 754 stations across its network and aims to build over 100 more throughout the year.
ČEZ has expanded the number of public charging stands in its network from 660 to 754 in the Czech Republic so far this year.
The company aims to meet the dynamic development of e-mobility across the country, which saw more than 5,000 pure battery electric vehicles (EVs) added during the first six months of 2024. With this growth, the number of EVs on the Czech roads is already touching the 30,000 mark.
The company currently offers 66 ultra-fast charging stands and by the end of the year it wants to establish over 100 ultra-fast locations.
"We are building new stations, increasing rack capacity and improving downstream services for customers. After last year's record 144 new stations, we are now well on track to surpass the 180 racks commissioned this year by mid-year," said Pavel Cyrani, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of ČEZ.
Drivers who recharge at ČEZ locations draw energy on average the fastest in the whole country, thanks to the highest output of the entire rack network. The combination of large hubs and ultrafast stations means that drivers usually don't have to wait for a free station and start recharging immediately and quickly.
