Kent Companies score 13-store acquisition in Alabama
The retailer is foraying into its 8th operating state after completing the acquisition of DC Oil Company’s c-store and fuel supply assets.
The Kent Companies has completed the acquisition of DC Oil Company based in Birmingham, Alabama, foraying into its 8th operating state.
The acquisition includes 13 Chevron Texaco-branded convenience stores, a fuel transportation fleet, and a portfolio of dealer accounts. This transaction not only enhances Kent Companies’ footprint across Texas and the southeast but also reaffirms its commitment to growing the Kent Kwik brand.
The company will retain the Chevron Texaco branding for fuel and rebrand the stores to Kent Kwik.

With the transaction, the retailer’s total store count now stands at 104 locations, apart from supplying fuel to an additional 150 plus dealer sites across 6 states.
The Kent Companies will continue to explore new expansion possibilities across Alabama and the other southeast states it operates in today.
