Moeve opens major car wash facility at Madrid flagship station

Moeve has launched one of Spain's largest vehicle wash facilities at its flagship service station in Madrid, spanning 2,000 square meters and designed to handle high traffic volumes with a focus on sustainability.
The centerpiece is a 43.5-meter wash tunnel using a dual conveyor belt system capable of processing 110 vehicles per hour, or up to half a million cars annually. Vehicles move along a continuous belt without anchoring, accommodating cars up to 2.40 meters in height, with 24 wash arches and a dedicated undercarriage cleaning system. Fifteen individual wash boxes, including one accessible for reduced-mobility customers, use biodegradable soaps.
"We have designed a facility conceived from the outset to give our customers the best service in the shortest possible time," said Sergio Ortega Cid, Carwash Manager at Moeve. "Every detail is aimed at making the wash fast, comfortable, flexible and of the highest quality, adapting to today's real needs."
The site incorporates 1,000 square meters of solar panels covering around 40% of the area's energy consumption, alongside water storage and treatment tanks with a 50-cubic-meter capacity, equivalent to 200 tunnel wash cycles or 1,000 washing machine loads.
The station, open 24 hours, also offers six ultra-fast 350 kW EV charging points, a 300-square-meter convenience store, a coffee corner, a food hall, and parcel services, serving as a technology showcase for Moeve's network of more than 1,600 stations across Spain and Portugal.
