Nikola launches fourth hydrogen station in California
The site will be located in the city of West Sacramento, as the company identified it as an ideal location due to its density of logistic traffic as a result of a high number of distribution centers.
Nikola Corporation has opened its fourth HYLA brand‘s hydrogen station in California to build on its planned network to service market demand.
The latest site and logistics infrastructure is located in the city of West Sacramento to cater to the company’s truck demand as well as third-party heavy-duty hydrogen electric vehicles. By the end of 2026, the firm anticipates having 60 stations in place to support this growth.
Nikola identified West Sacramento as an ideal location due to the number of distribution centers and density of trucking and logistics traffic.
“Our recently announced hydrogen energy brand, HYLA, is dedicated to solving the complex challenges that the mobility and hydrogen industry have faced for decades by offering integrated mobility solutions, including the trucks and energy supply. The HYLA hydrogen refueling stations, along with a comprehensive energy supply, will provide our customers the support needed to seamlessly transition their fleets to zero-emissions,” said Carey Mendes, President of Energy at Nikola.
Each station within the HYLA hydrogen network will serve as an important step for the company in the delivery of a broader array of hydrogen fueling solutions to the commercial trucking industry.
