OPAL Fuels acquires public fueling station in California
The company will upgrade the Visalia site and sell to OHK Transport, Western Milling’s transportation business.
OPAL Fuels announced the acquisition of the Western Milling fueling station in Visalia, California.
The company will upgrade the station and sell to Western Milling’s transportation business, OHK Transport, and other local shippers. OPAL anticipates supplying renewable natural gas (RNG) to this high-volume station from its production facilities as well as third party RNG suppliers.
“Acquisition of this station expands OPAL’s RNG dispensing network to meet the growing demand for renewable transportation fuels in California. As more fleets look to profitably move from diesel to alternative fuels, RNG represents the best choice as an ultra low-carbon solution that improves their bottom line,” said Adam Comora, co-CEO of OPAL Fuels.
The station, which is supported by a long-term lease and fuel purchase agreement with the ability to grow additional public volumes, currently serves the Central Valley.
OPAL Fuels focuses on the capture and conversion of biogas into low carbon intensity RNG and renewable electricity. The company also markets and distributes RNG to heavy duty trucking and other hard to decarbonize industrial sectors.
