Petroprix has officially entered the low-cost fuel retail market in Panama with the opening of its first service station in Panama City. With this launch, the company became the first Spanish fuel retailer to introduce its automated service station model to Latin America.

The opening marks a major milestone in the company’s international expansion and establishing a new type of service station not yet developed in the region. Already operating in Portugal, where it runs four stations and plans to close the year with fifteen, the Jaén-based company is now broadening its international presence across strategic markets.

In Panama, where several other stations are currently under construction, Petroprix aims to have seven operational locations by the end of 2025, as reported by Infobae.

The company is also advancing its expansion in Chile, where the first site is set to open in August. Petroprix emphasized that its expansion into Panama and Chile is based on strategic market potential, describing both countries as key gateways for introducing automated fuel station models across Central and South America.

Looking ahead, the company projects €1 billion in revenue for the current fiscal year, underscoring its ambitious growth plans in the global fuel retail sector.
