Petroprix reaches 250 service stations in Spain and Chile
Operator is opening three new automated fuel stations in Chile and adding 40 stations currently linked to Eroski.
Petroprix has surpassed 250 service stations worldwide after opening three new automated fuel stations in Chile and agreeing to add 40 stations currently linked to Spanish supermarket chain Eroski, the low-cost fuel operator announced. The Eroski deal remains subject to regulatory approval.
The new Chilean stations are located in central Santiago and in Peñaflor, part of the capital's Metropolitan Region and one of the area's fastest-growing residential and urban zones.
"Chile, Panama and Portugal are proving that our model is exportable and competitive in very different markets, and our goal is to keep building an international network that, in the coming years, carries a weight similar to our business in Spain," said Petroprix CEO Manuel Santiago.
The openings mark a milestone for the Jaén-based company, which now operates in Spain, Portugal, Chile and Panama while advancing new projects in Poland and the United States, bringing its footprint to six countries. In the Americas, Petroprix holds a pipeline of 50 projects in Chile and 25 in Panama. In Portugal, where it has operated for two years, new licenses are in process with a medium-term target of around 25 stations, and the company is also working to enter additional European markets in the short term.
Looking ahead, Petroprix expects its international business to reach a weight similar to Spain's within the group, targeting 300 stations in operation and €1.4 billion in revenue.
