PTT drives global expansion and sustainable innovation
Thai energy giant continues its expansion across Southeast Asia with a focus on convenience, fuel and e-mobility.
PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) is accelerating its international expansion and embracing sustainable innovation as it navigates volatile global markets. Despite challenges such as geopolitical uncertainties and fluctuating oil prices, OR has delivered strong financial results for the first nine months of 2024.
The company reported a net profit of 4.65 billion THB ($130mn) and sales revenue of 538.05 billion THB ($15bn) for the first nine months of 2024. This growth was driven by standout performances in its Lifestyle and Global business groups, which achieved growth rates of 8.1% and 11.6%, respectively. These figures highlight OR's adaptability and resilience amid market challenges, underscoring its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
With operations spanning 11 countries—including Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia— PTT is cementing its status as a global leader in the oil and retail sectors. It operates a network of 2,279 service stations, 1,029 EV Station PluZ locations equipped with 1,802 DC chargers, 105 Fit Auto outlets, and 226 PTT LPG stations.
PTT Lubricants focuses on growth in Indonesia and Taiwan, building on its established presence in over 40 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
OR has committed 8 billion THB over the next five years (2024–2028) to fuel its expansion. This investment will focus on clean energy, infrastructure development, and global opportunities, aligning with the company’s vision of integrating sustainability into its core business model.
Looking forward, OR plans to optimize costs, manage risks through enhanced operational stability, and leverage digital transformation to modernize operations and improve connectivity across its ventures.
