Puma Energy acquires AirBP’s aviation fuel assets in Mozambique
The company will now serve customers in seven major airports across the country.
Puma Energy Mozambique has completed its acquisition of AirBP’s aviation fuel assets in the country, following approval from the Competition Regulation Authority.
The acquisition will boost Puma Energy’s Aviation presence across seven major airports in Mozambique. The deal is part of the company’s strategic ambition to focus growth on high potential downstream markets through prudent investment.
“Airlines around the world know they can trust Puma Energy Aviation’s commitment to reliable supply of high-quality fuels. This acquisition will enable us to extend our offer to more aviation customers in Mozambique,” said Seamus Kilgallon, Head of Puma Energy Aviation.
The company will now service customers through facilities and equipment at airports in: Maputo, Beira, Nampula, Tete, Pemba, Quilimane and Vilanculos. Twenty-six employees transferred and have been fully onboarded to the company as part of the transaction.
Puma Energy Aviation will continue to invest in training and equipment to ensure airports in Mozambique remain some of the best served in Africa.
