Q8 has announced its return to the Netherlands with a fully electric focus, unveiling Q8 electric, the company’s international charging brand. The move marks the next phase in the company’s broader European electric vehicle (EV) strategy, aimed at providing drivers with fast, reliable and seamless charging across borders.

The introduction of Q8 electric in the Netherlands will involve a combination of new installations and upgrades throughout the country. Planning includes the addition of new charging points at Tango Stations where EV infrastructure is not yet available, while existing Tango electric chargers will be migrated step by step to the electric network.

Another key element of the initiative is the creation of an international charging ecosystem designed to deliver consistent user experience across Europe. Drivers will be able to access the charging network throughout the EU using a single charging card, streamlining cross‑border EV travel.

The rollout also includes the implementation of full fast‑charging stations under the Q8 electric brand, but the company emphasized that the introduction of its electric brand will not replace Tango’s existing role in the Dutch fuel market. Tango will continue operating as the company’s fuel brand, while Q8 electric will serve as the dedicated platform for EV charging.

This expansion is part of its long‑term commitment to developing an international charging network and supporting the broader shift toward sustainable mobility. Together with customers and partners, Q8 aims to strengthen its position in the evolving European EV landscape.
