Tank & Rast site reopens with digital upgrades following €3mn overhaul
The Fläming Ost service area includes a Starbucks and a host of new digital tools.
German service station operator Tank & Rast has launched its refurbished site in the A9 motorway near Brandenburg. The Fläming Ost service area includes a Starbucks and a host of new digital tools after the €3 million modernization project.
The rest stop now brings together a range of dining options and digital services under one roof, offering motorists a more relaxed and contemporary experience.
Inside the main dining hall, visitors will find a completely redesigned interior. Updates include new flooring, lighting, sales shelving, and furnishings to accommodate around 180 guests. The revamped space also features a play area with climbing elements for children. Traditional food services have been streamlined for easier navigation, directing guests efficiently to counters offering a wide selection. Orders can also be placed at digital self-order terminals.
With the completion of these upgrades, Fläming Ost now reflects Tank & Rast’s vision for the future of roadside hospitality: digitally enabled, comfortable, and suited to the evolving needs of travelers.
