Texaco returns to Rio with flagship station and Bullguer tie-up
Ipiranga opens the first Texaco-branded service station in Rio de Janeiro, featuring Techron fuels, a Star Lube facility and a partnership with Bullguer.
Ipiranga has inaugurated the first Texaco-branded service station in Rio de Janeiro, marking the fuel brand’s return to the state through a partnership with local retailer Rede JB.
Located in Rio’s South Zone near the Jockey Club and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, the new site offers Texaco’s fuel portfolio, including products featuring the company’s Techron additive technology. The station will also include a Star Lube unit dedicated to oil change services.
The opening expands Texaco’s presence in Brazil and reinforces Ipiranga’s strategy of growing the brand through regional partnerships. According to the company, the location was selected for its visibility and access to both local residents and passing motorists.
Beyond fuel retailing, the site introduces an exclusive partnership with Brazilian burger chain Bullguer. The collaboration initially operates through a food truck before transitioning to a permanent restaurant scheduled to open later this year.
The new location represents Texaco’s return to the Rio de Janeiro fuel market, reconnecting the brand with consumers in one of Brazil’s largest metropolitan areas while combining fuel, automotive services and foodservice offerings at a single site.
