Valora, team pilot foodvenience concept at German service stations
The companies have partnered to introduce Valora's avec convenience format at eight team service stations in Germany, reflecting the growing transformation of forecourts into food and convenience destinations.
Valora and German energy company team energie have launched a new partnership that will see the avec convenience concept introduced at selected service stations across northern Germany.
As part of the initial phase, eight team service stations will pilot the avec format, a concept centered on foodvenience, combining convenience retail with fresh food and on-the-go consumption options. The partners said the initiative is designed to enhance the customer experience and expand the role of service stations beyond fuel retailing.
“The combination of attractive, high-frequency locations and a high-quality foodvenience offering opens up exciting opportunities for the future of the service station,” said Philipp Angehrn, Managing Director Germany at Valora.
According to the companies, the pilot will build on the existing offer at team locations while introducing elements of Valora's award-winning avec concept. The format is aimed at consumers seeking convenient food and retail options during daily commutes and journeys.
The first joint locations are expected to serve as test sites for the concept, with the partners evaluating how the enhanced food and convenience offer performs in the service station environment.
