Virši introduces payment with bank cards and cash for EV charging
The retailer has become the first Latvian retailer to comply with the new EU AFIR and SRS payment requirements.
Virši has expanded payment options for electric vehicle (EV)charging, providing the possibility to pay at the cash desk in various forms of payment — by bank card, cash or company fuel card.
This provides more flexibility and additional convenience to its customers. In addition, the company has become the first service provider with a widely available charging network across Latvia, which complies with the new European Union (EU) and State Revenue Service (SRS) payment accounting requirements.
“This will significantly facilitate access to electric charging services and make it even more user-friendly for different user groups. Our goal is not only to provide high-quality services, but also to create a supportive environment for all electric car users who choose this sustainable transport solution,” said Anrijs Tukulis, Head of Sustainability Projects at Virši.
In accordance with these regulations, customers must be able to complete transactions with different payment methods. Until now, these options were limited to only mobile apps or using an RFID card.
Virši is a local fuel retailer with 29 years of experience, which currently operates a network of 83 outlets, including 80 service stations and three standalone convenience stores.
