Vivo Energy Uganda, which distributes and markets Shell fuels and lubricants in the country, has unveiled its redeveloped Shell Amber Court station in central Jinja. The forecourt has grown from four to eight fueling points. The site now brings fueling, food, retail and everyday services together for people who live and work in the city and for travelers passing through this business and tourism hub.

Customers can eat at Java House or KFC, and Java House’s dining area has doubled in size and now includes a play area. The site also has an MTN Uganda service center, a Good Life pharmacy, a Norfrax Forex Bureau and a Stanbic Bank ATM. The Shell Select shop has more space and a wider range of products, and fuel storage for Shell V-Power and FuelSave has increased. The service bay has an extra lane, and there is a dedicated area for boda boda (motorcycle taxi) riders. The share of the plot in use rose from about 65% to more than 90%.

“We have increased the number of fueling positions, expanded our retail and vehicle service facilities, and brought in new partners, giving our customers more reasons to stop and making every visit more valuable,” said Joanita Mukasa Menya, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda.

Vivo Energy Uganda is opening more Shell stations across the country. Across Africa, the group runs around 4,200 service stations in 29 markets under the Engen and Shell brands.
