Vontier acquires EKOS to expand fleet management platform

Deal adds cloud-based fleet, fuel and EV management software to Vontier’s portfolio, strengthening connectivity and operational visibility for commercial fleets.

Vontier Corporation has acquired EKOS, a provider of cloud-connected fleet, fuel and electric vehicle (EV) management software, in a move aimed at expanding its technology offering for commercial fleet operators.

The acquisition strengthens Vontier’s fleet management platform by adding software that provides centralized visibility across fuel purchasing, site monitoring, vehicle assets, fuel card controls and EV charging infrastructure through a single interface.

EKOS currently supports more than 1.2 million vehicles across the United States and serves thousands of businesses. The platform is designed to help fleet operators improve efficiency, reduce costs and manage increasingly complex operations.

Vontier and EKOS already had an existing relationship, with EKOS serving as a preferred fuel management software provider for Vontier’s fleet customers. The acquisition deepens that integration, combining EKOS’s software capabilities with Vontier’s fueling equipment and fleet technology solutions.

“Today’s announcement marks a significant milestone in our relationship with EKOS, accelerating connectivity across our product portfolio and advancing our comprehensive vision for fleets,” said Mark Morelli, President and CEO of Vontier.

The company said the transaction enhances its ability to help customers optimize operations and manage fleets operating across both conventional and emerging energy sources.
