Yesway achieves 435 store milestone via Ranglers acquisition
The retailer has opened five new-to-industry Allsup's stores and announced the purchase of five more outlets across Texas.
Yesway announced the opening of five new Allsup's stores in New Mexico and Texas alongside the purchase of five existing Ranglers outlets in Texas as well. With these acquisitions, the retailer celebrates a major growth milestone, operating a network of 435 stores across the United States.
The announcement follows a momentous year of growth for the brand, including the acquisition of the Tres Amigos chain of stores, the launch of the new Allsup's Express concept store and new openings. Last month, the firm also announced that it had raised $190 million in new equity to fund its continued growth, with plans to open 28 new stores throughout 2023.
"We're thrilled to begin 2023 with more exciting expansion news to share and look forward to bringing our brand of service and hospitality to more communities. I am so proud of our team for making this accelerated pace of growth possible," said Tom Trkla, Chairman, President, and CEO of Yesway.
While each location previously owned by Ranglers will be remodeled and rebranded under either the Yesway or Allsup's banner, the brand's store looks and merchandise selection will remain on the interior.
