Yesway brings Allsup’s brand to Arizona
The retailer will open its first Arizona location in Willcox next month, expanding its footprint to 453 stores across 10 states and advancing its Southwestern growth strategy.
Yesway will open its first Allsup’s convenience store in Arizona on October 2, marking the company’s entry into its 10th U.S. state and expanding its network to 453 stores.
Located in Willcox, Arizona, the new site represents Yesway’s first investment in the state and is part of the retailer’s broader development strategy across Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. The company said it views Arizona as a key growth market due to expanding communities, fuel market conditions and opportunities for new store development.
The over 580 m² store will feature 10 multi-product fuel dispensers, five diesel lanes and 17 truck parking spaces. Customers will have access to prepared food, grocery products, convenience items and fuel services.
The retailer expects the location to serve as the foundation for further expansion in the state. “This is not simply the opening of another store for Yesway; it represents the beginning of what we hope will become a significant and enduring presence in Arizona,” said Tom Trkla, chairman, president and CEO of Yesway.
Yesway has opened more than 90 new-to-industry stores over the past five years as part of a strategy that combines organic growth with acquisitions and investments in its existing network.
