YPF introduces low-cost Refiplus fuel station concept in Argentina
New format combines self-service and digital tools to deliver faster, simplified fueling.
YPF has launched a new low-cost service station concept in Argentina, introducing its Refiplus model in the province of Salta to streamline fueling through faster, more efficient operations. The first site marks the beginning of a nationwide rollout aimed at customers seeking quicker transactions supported by digital tools.
The Refiplus format combines traditional attended pumps with self-service options, allowing users to choose how they refuel while reducing waiting times. The model integrates features such as digital payments, automatic billing and loyalty benefits through the company’s app, focusing on minimizing on-site processes.
“Refiplus is a solution designed to meet today's customer needs: quick refueling without compromising on quality. It's simple, efficient, and backed by YPF in every liter,” said YPF President and CEO Horacio Marín, highlighting the concept’s emphasis on speed and simplicity.
The station offers standard fuels and lubricants while adopting a leaner operational structure designed to optimize costs and improve efficiency. The model also enables flexible configurations tailored to local demand, particularly in regions where long travel distances increase the importance of quick refueling stops.
The Refiplus rollout follows YPF’s acquisition of Refinor last year, securing control over key fuel and gas transportation and distribution assets in northern Argentina. The integration of Refinor’s infrastructure, including a pipeline linking Córdoba and Tucumán, is expected to enhance logistics efficiency and support more reliable fuel supply across the northwest region.
