Z App recognised at Design Best Awards 2024
New Zealand’s Z Energy picks up design award for improving app with plate-by-plate and pre-order.
The Z App was recently awarded a silver pin in the Digital Products category at the Design Institute of New Zealand (DINZ) Best Awards 2024.
With features such as Sharetank, Pay-by-Plate and Pre-Order (food and coffee), the Z App has become a key part of Z’s customer offer.
“We recognise many of our customers expect us to have a strong digital presence, to make their Z experience more seamless. Whether this is so they can fuel up and pay quicker, or pre-order their coffee so it’s ready and waiting for when they arrive at their local Z, our app makes this possible,” says Vance Anderson, GM Digital at Z Energy (Z).
Acknowledging the digital landscape continues to evolve, Z’s team decided to undertake an extensive review of the existing app, to see if there were opportunities to enhance the user experience. The project, dubbed ‘Z App 2.0’, was developed with support from digital agency Rush.
Extensive research was undertaken by the Z and Rush teams, to look at what we could improve or enhance for our customers. The intent was to simplify daily tasks by providing an integrated app where the digital and on-site experience interacted seamlessly together, addressing customer needs in a fast and hassle-free manner.
