bp and Loomis partner to cut transport emissions across Europe
Agreement includes supply of renewable HVO fuel and rollout of cash management services at stations in Spain.
bp Energía España has signed a strategic agreement with cash management and security company Loomis to help decarbonize its transport operations across Europe and reduce emissions at its facilities in Spain.
Under the agreement, the energy company will supply bp bioenergy HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil)—a renewable to power its partner’s European vehicle fleet. Approximately 10 million liters of HVO are expected to be supplied by 2030.
Prior to this deal, the company had already been supplying Loomis with diesel and gasoline in Austria and Portugal.
"This strategic agreement with Loomis demonstrates bp’s ambition to be the energy partner of choice for European customers seeking secure and reliable supply—now and in the future," said Olvido Moraleda, Chair of bp Energía España.
The agreement enables Loomis to access HVO supply in 10 European countries, including Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the UK, and Switzerland. Drivers will use the bp Fuel & Charge card and the ROUTEX network to complete the refueling process.
In Spain, Loomis will also launch its Operational Excellence cash management program at bp service stations, offering secure collection, handling, and transportation of cash starting in 2025.
Loomis employees in the country will also benefit from the chain’s loyalty program, “miBP,” which offers customers reward points redeemable for fuel discounts and other promotional offers.
