Circle K expands EV charging access in Europe via roaming deal
The retailer's eMobility platform now connects drivers to more than one million charging points across Europe through a partnership with Plugsurfing, extending access beyond its own network.
Circle K has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging offering in Europe through a partnership with EV charging services provider Plugsurfing, giving customers access to more than one million charging points across the continent.
The agreement integrates Plugsurfing's roaming network into the Circle K eMobility platform, allowing drivers to use a single charging experience across both Circle K locations and third-party charging networks.
Through the partnership, Circle K customers can access chargers operated by major European providers including IONITY, Fastned and Allego, significantly broadening charging availability for drivers traveling across different markets.
“As EV adoption continues to grow, customers increasingly expect charging to be simple, reliable and available wherever they travel,” said Elin Bøe, Commercial Director, eMobility at Circle K Europe. “Through our partnership with Plugsurfing, we are significantly expanding access to charging across Europe while maintaining a seamless experience for Circle K customers.”
The initiative supports Circle K's broader eMobility strategy as the retailer continues to develop charging infrastructure alongside its traditional convenience and fuel operations.
