Circle K strengthens banking access in Alaska through ATM partnership
The convenience retailer will host branded Credit Union 1 ATMs at 24 locations across Alaska, expanding access to self-service banking for customers and travelers.
Circle K stores across Alaska are becoming key access points for self-service banking through a new ATM branding agreement between Credit Union 1 (CU1) and NCR Atleos.
Under the initiative, Credit Union 1 branding is being introduced on ATMs located at 24 Circle K stores in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla and the Kenai Peninsula. The rollout began in July and August 2026 and is designed to provide consumers with greater access to banking services through high-traffic retail locations.
The agreement highlights the growing role of convenience stores as hubs for financial services, particularly in geographically large and remote regions. For Alaska-based Credit Union 1, which manages more than $1.7 billion in assets, retail locations offer an established network where members can access cash and banking services during daily activities.
The branded ATMs will be available at Circle K sites across several Alaskan communities, reinforcing the retailer's position as a destination for both fueling and everyday services.
The project is part of broader efforts by Credit Union 1 to expand its presence throughout Alaska, including new branch openings and a recently approved merger with MAC Federal Credit Union. For Circle K, the partnership adds another customer service offering within its store network while increasing foot traffic through enhanced convenience for local residents and travelers alike.
