Connecting mobility and convenience with Vontier

From unified payments to AI-powered car wash kiosks, Vontier showcased at the NACS Show 2026 a connected ecosystem spanning the forecourt, the store and the community.

AI agents, labor shortages and the push for a single connected forecourt were among the topics that dominated the 2026 NACS Show in Las Vegas. Vontier took on all three at its booth, showing how its technologies link every touchpoint of the convenience retail experience, from the dispenser and EV charger to the car wash and the store counter.

Andy Bennett, Group President, Convenience Retail, explained that the common thread across those touchpoints is payment, and that much of Vontier’s technology work focuses on a single, unified payment experience. FlexPay 6 plays a key role, allowing retailers to certify a device once and use it in multiple places across the site. He described unified payment as the “connective fabric” for loyalty: once customers pay or identify themselves through an app, retailers know what they are likely to buy and what to offer them. Bennett also pointed to remote monitoring of connected devices as a response to high staff turnover and costly service visits. “What we’re seeing more and more is our customers want not just to connect to those things, but to understand how they operate,” he said.

Turning that connectivity into insight and action is where AI comes in. For Vontier, innovation starts with customers’ toughest problems and the technologies and processes that can solve them, explained Rasha Hasaneen, Chief Innovation and Growth Officer. With AI, the company is starting “from the technology forward”, across three areas: transforming its own operations, improving customer engagement, and enabling new products and business models. One example on the booth was an autonomous sales agent for car wash kiosks, combining large language models, machine learning, computer vision and natural language processing so drivers can interact using everyday language. “It upsells our customers’ products to their customers in a way that no sort of attendant can do before,” she said.

For Elaine Kanak, Chief Marketing Officer, the show was a chance to present “a connected ecosystem of solutions that are here to help solve their big problems.” She also highlighted the second year of Vontier’s partnership with the NACS Foundation and its Neighborhood Nourish program, which harnesses the industry to fight food insecurity and reduce food waste. It also supported an effort to collect food donations from booths as the show floor was dismantled, for distribution through local nonprofit Three Square. “Convenience retailers are already embedded in the local community,” Kanak said. “They’re accessible and they’re often the front line for food availability in their communities.”

Between FlexPay 6, remote device monitoring, AI-driven sales and its community commitments, Vontier’s booth at the NACS Show reflected a company positioning itself as the link between mobility and convenience, where every device, payment and customer interaction feeds into one ecosystem.
