Golden Gate Petroleum unveils rewards for drivers, truckers
The family-owned retailer’s new program offers 2 cents per gallon in savings for everyday members and a four-tier scheme for professional drivers across its 30-plus Western US locations.
Golden Gate Petroleum has launched Golden Gate Rewards, a loyalty program for both everyday drivers and professional truckers. It is now live at participating sites across the company’s more than 30 convenience stores and truck stops in California, Nevada, Colorado and Utah.
Members save 2 cents per gallon, about 0.5 cents per liter, on fuel and earn points on purchases in store and at the pump. New members receive 100 bonus points and a free coffee or fountain drink.
A dedicated Trucker Program offers four tiers, with higher earning rates as drivers fuel more each month, plus extra points on diesel, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), coffee and fresh food. Drivers pick up a rewards card in store and track their tier through the app.
“Our customers have been loyal to us for over 50 years. Now we get to return the favor,” said Randy Shores, Marketing Manager at Golden Gate Petroleum. “Professional drivers keep this country moving, and they keep our business moving too. The more miles they put in with us, the more they earn.”
The program is powered by Patron Points. The family-owned retailer’s stores offer car washes, DEF at the pump and bulk propane, as well as food brands such as Krispy Krunchy Chicken and Port of Subs at participating locations.
