Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has launched a new digital advertising proposition across its network of more than 1,200 forecourts in the UK. The initiative aims to enable brands to reach millions of consumers through targeted messaging integrated into everyday fuel and convenience retail journeys.

The rollout, in partnership with retail media specialist GIG Retail, introduces a multi-screen digital network spanning forecourt exteriors and in-store environments. Formats include outward-facing window screens designed to capture roadside traffic, as well as displays above payment counters and at cash registers, where customers typically spend more time before completing purchases.

MFG’s sites, which host brands such as Shell, BP, Esso and a range of retail and food operators, serve as high-traffic destinations for motorists. In addition to fuel, customers visit forecourts for services including EV charging, parcel collection, grocery shopping and food-to-go, creating multiple touchpoints for advertisers throughout a visit.

The company highlighted changing consumer behaviour, noting that nearly half of UK motorists purchasing fuel also buy non-fuel items. This trend is drawing increased interest from brands seeking to engage audiences during routine stops, particularly in contexts where purchase intent is high.
