TanQyou expands its innovative concept to Portugal
TanQyou uses licence plate recognition to offers its customers a convenient service .
TanQyou crosses the border by opening an office in Portugal. This way TanQyou gives further shape to its European expansion plans for its platform. José Maia Freitas will manage and roll out international business development from the new office in Portugal.
José Maia Freitas has a track record in the international fuel industry and was previously commercial director at Petrotec, pump supplier of TanQyou. From Braga, José will further expand TanQyou's proposition in Europe.
“In choosing new markets, we looked at landscapes comparable to gas stations and oil traders as in the home market, the Netherlands. In addition, MaaS (mobility as a service) is also progressing in cities such as Lisbon, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Madrid,” said TanQyou in a press release.
TanQyou started in 2015 with its own gas station formula. This formula must ensure that on unmanned stations, refueling becomes just as fun and personal as manned stations. Customers can register at the pump and then based on license plate greeted at the pump on their next visit. All transactions are automatically saved in the transaction overview and an account also offers you more convenience at the pump.
