ADNOC Distribution launches ‘The Hub’ to reshape roadside retail in the UAE
New community-focused concept blends mobility services with dining, recreation, and retail as part of ADNOC’s non-fuel growth strategy.
ADNOC Distribution has introduced The Hub by ADNOC, a new roadside retail concept designed to blend mobility services with food, leisure, and community-focused experiences. The first location has opened in Shawamekh, Abu Dhabi, with six sites planned by the end of 2025 and a network of 30 expected by 2030.
Unveiled at an official launch event attended by ADNOC leadership and key retail partners, the new concept aims to expand the company’s non-fuel retail strategy and reflect evolving consumer expectations. CEO Eng. Bader Saeed Al Lamki described The Hub as a cornerstone of the company’s future vision, highlighting its role in strengthening communities while diversifying the retailer’s revenue streams.
Three times larger than a traditional service station, each Hub combines essential services such as fuel, EV charging and car care with dining, fitness facilities and family recreation areas. The design encourages longer visits through amenities such as children’s play zones, outdoor fitness areas and recreational spaces including padel courts and gyms.
Demand from retailers has been strong, with 90% of commercial units across the first six locations already leased. Partners include Lulu Hypermarket, McDonald’s, Starbucks, KFC, Hardee’s and Al Baik, alongside the company’s own Oasis by ADNOC convenience stores.
Some locations will also host seasonal pop-up markets, adding rotating retail options to keep the customer experience dynamic.
The launch comes as ADNOC Distribution reports ongoing growth in its non-fuel retail business, including a 15% increase in gross profit over the first nine months of 2025.
