Electra and Mercedes-Benz have formed a partnership under which the carmaker’s 47 High Power Charging Hubs in Europe, with a total of 374 charge points, became part of the Electra network on November 1. The hubs, including 31 in Germany and six in Austria, keep their familiar on-site charging experience. In Germany, Electra’s network grows from 50 to 81 stations.

MB.CHARGE Public customers in Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland will benefit from preferential rates at Electra stations, depending on their tariff. They can find and access stations through the Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem, in the car or the Mercedes-Benz App, and reserve compatible charge points before arrival.

“Mercedes-Benz built charging hubs to a standard few networks match. We are proud they chose Electra to carry that standard forward,” said Aurélien de Meaux, CEO of Electra. “This partnership is a milestone for Electra in Germany and across Europe.”

“Together with Electra, we are making fast charging across Europe even more accessible and convenient,” said Nico Dettmer, Global Head of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions.

Electra, which operates more than 800 stations and 5,000 charge points across ten European countries, plans to invest €200 million in Germany next year.
