Żabka Group has initiated a planned leadership transition that will see Tomasz Blicharski become chief executive officer from January 1, 2027, subject to shareholder approval, as the company seeks to ensure continuity while reinforcing its strategic focus.

Current CEO Tomasz Suchański, who has led the business for a decade, is expected to assume the role of chair of the board of directors following the transition, moving into a non‑executive position overseeing the group’s governance.

The succession marks the culmination of a multi‑year process that began in 2022 and reflects Żabka’s effort to align long‑term strategy with management execution. The company said the transition is designed to support stable growth and maintain momentum across its operations in convenience retail and digital services.

“Working under the Żabka brand for over 10 years has been an exceptional experience,” said Suchański. “I am proud of the modern and distinctive company we have built together.”

Under Suchański’s leadership, Żabka has undergone significant transformation, expanding its store network nearly threefold while increasing sales fivefold. The company has also evolved into a multi‑channel retail platform and completed its listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2024.

Blicharski, currently Group Chief Strategy and Development Officer, has been with the company for more than 15 years and has played a central role in shaping its business model and digital ecosystem. He has overseen strategic initiatives including the group’s long‑term value creation plan and sustainability strategy, as well as the development of new business segments.

The company said the transition will be completed through a structured handover process leading up to 2027, aimed at ensuring operational continuity and sustained delivery of its long‑term objectives.
