Allego reaches 1,000th charging station in Europe
Milestone site in France highlights Allego’s rapid expansion across key European mobility corridors.
Allego has inaugurated its 1,000th high-power charging (HPC) station in Europe, marking a major achievement in the company’s growth and in the continent’s shift toward e-mobility. The new site is located at the Aire de Lamanon rest area on France’s A7 motorway, a vital route connecting Lyon and Marseille.
Equipped with ultra-fast chargers capable of delivering up to 400 kW, the station also supports Plug & Charge technology, enabling seamless, card-free charging. To enhance the driver experience, the site includes outdoor fitness equipment, allowing users to stay active while their vehicles recharge.
“Allego’s expansion focuses on locations that make charging part of everyday life,” said Christian Zeh, COO of Allego. “Along Europe’s highways, stations connect long-distance routes, while in towns and cities, chargers are increasingly integrated into destinations such as retail parks, supermarkets and hotels. Partnerships with trusted European brands like VINCI Autoroutes, Carrefour, Van der Valk Business, REWE Group and Burger King, ensure drivers can combine charging with convenience and comfort.”
Founded over a decade ago, Allego now operates across 16 European countries, facilitating nearly 1 million charging sessions each month.
To further improve accessibility, the company plans to launch a new mobile app by the end of the year, offering real-time visibility of all charging stations and easy session management.
With 1,000 ultra-fast stations now in service, Allego continues to play a leading role in supporting Europe’s clean mobility transition and expanding the infrastructure required for a carbon-neutral future.
