Ampol completes twin Eastern Creek service centres on Sydney’s M4

Ampol has opened its fully redeveloped Foodary Eastern Creek service centres on Sydney’s M4 Motorway, signalling a major step in its strategy to strengthen highway retail and food offerings in Australia.
The eastbound and westbound sites now combine Ampol Foodary convenience stores with a suite of national quick‑service restaurant brands, including Hungry Jack’s, Oporto, Boost Juice and Soul Origin, the latter making its first appearance at an Ampol location.
Kate Thomson, Ampol’s Executive General Manager for Retail Australia, described the redevelopment as the next milestone in the company’s investment in modernising its highway network.
Designed as multi‑purpose destinations rather than simple refuelling stops, both service centres feature indoor and outdoor dining areas, children’s play zones and enclosed off‑leash dog parks.
Ampol has significantly expanded its electric vehicle infrastructure at the site, installing 10 AmpCharge bays at both centres. The westbound location additionally includes two 400kW fast chargers, among the fastest publicly accessible units currently available in Australia, reflecting rising demand for rapid‑charging options along major transport routes.
The openings come as Ampol continues its broader retail expansion, following last year’s agreement to acquire EG Group’s Australian service station network for $1.1 billion.
