Aral pulse installs new ultra-fast chargers in Magdeburg and Ahrensfelde
Two new sites equipped with 300 kW charging stations expand Germany’s high-power network, including dedicated bays for electric trucks.
Aral pulse, the e-mobility brand of bp’s German fuel retail business, has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging network with new installations at two service stations in eastern Germany. Five ultra-fast chargers with ten charging points are now operational in Magdeburg near the A2 motorway, while four additional chargers with eight charging points have been activated in Ahrensfelde close to the A10 motorway.
All new chargers deliver up to 300 kilowatts of power, allowing drivers, depending on battery type and condition, to gain up to 300 kilometres of range in roughly 10 minutes. The expansion reinforces Aral pulse’s focus on ultra-fast charging and high reliability across its network, with two of the Magdeburg units designed specifically for electric trucks.
“We now operate more than 3,800 charging points at over 500 locations, making us one of the largest fast-charging providers in Germany. And we plan to grow further,” said Alexander Junge, Aral Board Member for E-Mobility. “We want to be the first choice for our customers. Our ultra-fast charging offer is very well received, and since August 2024 we have been the official e-charge partner of ADAC.”
Aral operates around 2,400 fuel stations in Germany, its largest European market, and is also one of the country's leading providers of publicly accessible ultra-fast charging stations.
