Arko transforms with pilot store remodels
Convenience store giant doubles down on customer experience with redesigned stores and fresh food offerings.
Arko Corp. is making bold strides in redefining its retail strategy by rolling out a pilot store remodeling program and enhancing its foodservice offerings.
As the company announced in its first-quarter 2025 financial update, it has begun construction on the first of seven planned pilot remodels aimed at reimagining the in-store experience, with the second site set to break ground in mid-May.
These remodels will feature improved layouts, expanded merchandise, and a stronger focus on food, positioning stores as destinations for both convenience and quality meal options.
In parallel, Arko is expanding its foodservice footprint, opening a new Dunkin' location and a fastmarket store during the first quarter. This aligns with the company's goal to grow its branded and proprietary food offerings, meeting rising consumer demand for on-the-go meal solutions in convenience formats.
Four new-to-industry stores are also slated to open later this year, with construction already underway on three of them.
These efforts are part of Arko ’s commitment to optimize its retail operations while continuing to convert company-operated stores to dealer-operated models. In Q1 alone, 59 stores were transitioned to dealer sites, with 18 more conversions in April and more planned throughout 2025.
