Buc-ee’s, Texas A&M launch first co-branded merchandise collection

The travel center chain is expanding its relationship with Texas A&M University through exclusive merchandise that celebrates the legacy of founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III.

Buc-ee’s has launched its first co-branded merchandise collection with Texas A&M University, marking a new chapter in the relationship between the iconic travel center operator and the university attended by its founder, Arch “Beaver” Aplin III.

The collection debuts with a co-branded Buc-ee’s and Texas A&M T-shirt, available at travel centers across Texas as well as at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the university’s College Station campus, building on the retailer’s longstanding ties to Texas A&M.

Aplin, who graduated from the university in 1980, opened the first Buc-ee’s location in Lake Jackson in 1982. Since then, the company has grown into one of the most recognizable travel center brands in the United States, known for its oversized stores, food offerings, private-label products, branded merchandise and customer-focused retail experience.

“As an Aggie, it’s special to see Buc-ee’s and Texas A&M come together in a way that celebrates both brands,” said Aplin. “Buc-ee’s has always been about creating experiences people enjoy and remember, and Texas A&M has always felt like home.”

The merchandise launch follows a series of collaborations between the two organizations. Earlier this year, Texas A&M became the first university to offer the chain’s products on campus, introducing more than 45 of the retailer’s popular food and convenience items at university locations.

The partnership also aligns with the development of the Aplin Center at Texas A&M, a new academic facility supported by a $60 million contribution from Aplin. The center is expected to focus on fields such as hospitality, retail, food innovation, merchandising, marketing and customer experience.

According to the partners, additional co-branded merchandise releases are planned in conjunction with Texas A&M’s upcoming 150th anniversary celebrations and future initiatives.
