ChargePoint unveils new platform for managing EV charging networks
Redesigned system aims to improve oversight, flexibility and energy integration for operators managing sites of any scale.
ChargePoint has introduced an updated version of its software platform designed to help organizations manage electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
The redesigned ChargePoint Platform aims to give operators more control over their charging networks across a wide range of use cases, from fleet depots to workplace parking. According to the company, the system has been rebuilt to support changing energy demands and integrate with different types of charging hardware.
Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint, said the platform reflects the company’s experience working across the EV charging ecosystem. “ChargePoint has manifested our deep expertise in EV charging to deliver the industry’s most advanced software platform,” he said, noting that it is designed to work with a variety of charger models already in operation.
The platform is intended for fleet operators, commercial property owners, vehicle manufacturers, charge point operators, and energy providers.
ChargePoint’s update comes as EV charging operators seek more integrated tools to manage growing infrastructure and rising demand for electric mobility.
