YPF and McDonald’s debut first restaurant at a Black station
The fourth YPF Black site combines McDonald’s with FULL’s coffee and bakery offer, F1-inspired Pit Stop vehicle service and sustainability features, becoming the chain’s 237th location in Argentina.
McDonald’s and YPF have opened the first restaurant of their strategic alliance at YPF Black Melo in Greater Buenos Aires. The site is YPF’s fourth Black station, its premium service format in Argentina, and McDonald’s 237th restaurant in the country.
Under the concept “More than a station, a destination,” the location combines McDonald’s products with the offer of FULL, YPF’s convenience store brand. It brings together quick-service food, specialty coffee, premium pastries and dishes designed to encourage longer stays.
“The alliance with YPF allows us to explore new growth opportunities in Argentina, combining the strength of both brands to be present in more moments of our customers’ daily lives,” said Woods Staton, Executive Chairman of the Board of Arcos Dorados, the largest independent McDonald’s franchisee.
“At YPF, we are transforming our network to offer much more than fuel. We want our stations to be destinations where customers find services, food and experiences that adapt to their needs,” said Horacio Marín, President and CEO of YPF.
On the forecourt, attendants advise drivers on the most suitable fuel for their vehicle. The site also offers YPF Pit Stop, a service inspired by Formula 1 pit stops that lets customers leave their car with a specialized team while they enjoy the FULL offer.
FULL operates more than 1,250 stores in over 500 locations across Argentina and sells 3.2 million coffees and more than 800,000 burgers per month.
