Co-op has introduced its first own-brand range of GLP-1 friendly ready meals, marking a UK convenience retail first. The launch is part of the retailer’s new “Good Fuel – Power Up Your Plate” health offer, available in stores from January 7th.

The range includes four mini meals designed for shoppers with smaller appetites, reflecting data that shows 3% of the UK population, around one in 30 people, now uses weight-loss medication. Each meal is perfectly portioned, high in protein and fibre, and includes at least two of your five-a-day. Options include Butternut Squash, Beans & Grains (250g), Chicken & Sweet Potato Penang Curry (250g), and Chicken & Courgette Alfredo Pasta (250g), priced at £3.50 each.

“Our members and customers are changing the way they approach health, looking for tasty choices that deliver protein, fibre, and plenty of flavour,” said Nicole Tallant, Retail Trading Director at Co-op. “There is also a growing need to cater for smaller appetites with meals that provide the quality without so much of the quantity.”

The Good Fuel range also features five full-sized meals with high-protein, slow-release carbs, and nutrient-rich vegetables. Highlights include Piri Piri Chicken with Rice (380g), combining marinated British chicken breast, spicy sauce, brown rice, broccoli, carrots, and red quinoa. Members can buy any two for £6.00, while non-members pay £6.50, from 7–22 January.
