Copec Voltex has surpassed 4,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across Chile, marking a new milestone in the country’s e-mobility infrastructure development.

The e-mobility subsidiary of Copec said the achievement further consolidates its position in the EV charging market and expands access to charging services for both private and commercial electric transport users. According to the announcement, the company now operates South America’s largest continuous fast-charging network, connecting more than 2,200 kilometers between the cities of Copiapó in northern Chile and Castro in the south.

Beyond public charging infrastructure, the company also supplies energy to Chile’s growing fleet of electric buses. Copec Voltex currently operates 37 electric bus terminals, providing charging services for more than 2,000 buses used in public transportation systems.

“More than a decade ago, we began building infrastructure for a type of mobility that at the time seemed distant.Seeing how e-mobility is transforming people’s lives and the development of cities inspires us to keep moving forward with the same long-term vision,” said Francisco Larrondo, general manager of Copec Voltex.

The expansion reflects the continued growth of e-mobility in Chile, where investments in charging infrastructure have accelerated as EV adoption increases and public transport operators transition to zero-emission fleets.
