Don’t Like Leaks? Neither Do We. The NEXT True Solution

A containment sump is only as good as it’s weakest link. Historically that weak link has been the entry boots.
Fiberglass sumps can last for decades but flexible, rubber entry boots have proven to degrade in the harsh sump environment much sooner, rendering the containment non-functional. The tightening of regulations and new sump testing requirements helped to shed light on how prevalent these boot failures are, not to mention the environmental risks they pose.
The shorter shelf life for the rubber boots was a key factor that drove much-needed innovation and the development of more durable material fittings for repairing and replacing parts at older stations. This was the challenge given to the Bravo design team, design and develop a new generation of fitting that:
- Requires no adhesives so they can be installed in all weather conditions including wet surfaces
- Can be tested immediately after installation including in freezing temperatures
- Won’t interfere with existing piping system features such as the retractability of flexible piping
- Are not made of flexible materials that can be damaged so quickly
- Most importantly – BE EASY TO INSTALL
Bravo’s leading engineering team has designed the latest innovation with the first-ever all fiberglass NEXT Series retrofit fittings. The NEXT Series retrofit fittings are constructed with a rigid composite, providing a much longer service life. The fittings are assembled mechanically without epoxy or adhesives, allowing for installation in all weather conditions including wet surfaces.
The two-piece design can be easily disassembled, allowing for future flex-pipe retraction and then quickly reassembled making it fully serviceable. These fittings can be used on all common fuel pipes, conduits, and on all sump types.
Since being introduced to the market, the NEXT Series retrofit fittings have become very popular in replacing failed boots inside otherwise perfectly good containment sumps. This success inspired the design team to revisit a similar concept for new construction sites. The NEXT Series new construction fittings are now available and are very similar in design, material and functionality to the retrofit fittings.
