Ecuador has inaugurated its first ultra‑fast, multi‑brand charging plaza, developed under the CONECTZ brand and the first in what is expected to become a nationwide network of high‑power charging destinations. The CONECTZ plaza incorporates ultra‑fast chargers and smart‑charging capabilities, enabling drivers to reduce charging times and benefit from systems that optimize power distribution. During the opening ceremony, Fitzgerald Cantero, Director of Studies, Projects and Information at OLACDE, underscored the importance of developing charging spaces that are not only accessible, but also compatible with diverse electric vehicle (EV) technologies.
