Elektrum opens Estonia’s largest EV charging station

Capable of charging 34 vehicles at the same time, the site features the company’s first two 300 kW ultra fast chargers in the country.

Elektrum Drive has opened the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Estonia, capable of charging up to 34 cars simultaneously.

All chargers are located on all levels of the T1 Centre’s car park in Tallinn, both underground and on all levels of the parking garage. In cooperation with Lintgen OÜ, the company installed 30 chargers, four of which allow two cars to be charged at the same time.

The site features 26 chargers with a power of 22 kW, two 100 kW fast chargers and the first two 300 kW ultra fast chargers of the company in Estonia.

“The new generation fast chargers installed at the T1 charging station and across Estonia will make charging particularly fast and convenient, and will boost the growth of the electric car user base. This is a significant step towards a greener future,” said Agnes Makk, Chairwoman of the Management Board of Elektrum Eesti.

According to Makk, this location has also become the second largest charging station in the Baltics. Andrus Liivand, member of Elektrum Eesti’s Board, has stated that there are currently over 8,100 EVs in Estonia, a number that is expected to grow exponentially by the end of the decade.

Elektrum Drive, an Elektrum Eesti subsidiary,  currently has a total of 806 charging points across the Baltics. The firm is part of the Latvian energy company Latvenergo Group, the largest producer and supplier of green energy in the Baltics.
