Emarat appoints new CEO to drive growth across the UAE

Burhan Al Hashemi aims to enhance Emarat’s growth ambitions and long‑term strategic agenda.

Emarat has appointed Burhan Al Hashemi as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking an important step in the company’s evolution as it strengthens its position in the UAE’s energy and retail landscape.

Before joining Emarat, Al Hashemi held several senior roles at Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), where he played a central role in business expansion, operational improvements and commercial performance across regional and international markets. His appointment signals Emarat’s intention to sharpen execution, enhance resilience and accelerate capabilities critical to future competitiveness.

Commenting on his new role, Al Hashemi said: “My priority is to sharpen strategic execution across the business, strengthen performance and resilience, and accelerate the capabilities that will define competitiveness in the years ahead, including digital enablement, service excellence, and talent development.”

With three decades of experience across aviation fuels, lubricants, retail fuel networks, gas, and marine and industrial supply, Al Hashemi brings deep sector expertise and a strong track record in strategic and operational leadership.

As CEO, he will oversee Emarat’s strategic agenda, focusing on operational excellence, customer experience, efficiency and sustainable growth. His mandate also includes advancing digital capabilities and developing the talent required to support the company’s next phase of expansion.

Emarat, founded in 1980, operates one of the UAE’s leading fuel and convenience retail networks, providing a broad range of commercial fuel, natural gas and lubricant solutions across the country.
